Bu yapılar as …. as yapıları ile aynı anlamı farklı cümle yapıları ile verirler. as …. as yapısında sıfat veya zarf kullanımı varken the same as yapısında arada isim bulunur veya direkt olarak olarak kullanılır.
It is the tragic case of a very young man the same age as my son.
It is the tragic case of a very young man whose age is the same as my son.
It is the tragic case of a very young man as young as my son.
