OTHER CONDITIONALS
If so / If not
1- Ayrı cümlelerde verilen koşulları tekrar etmemek için cümle başlarında kullanılabilirler.
2- “Öyleyse / Yoksa” şeklinde çevrilebilirler.
Do you have coughing or shortness of breath at work? If so, you could have occupational asthma.
You should have a strong will. If not, don’t struggle in vain.
OTHER CONDITIONALS
Unless
1- Genellikle “If not” olarak adlandırılır.
2- “-madıkça / -mazsan” şeklinde çevrilir.
3- Type 1 dışında kullanımı yaygın değildir.
4- Koşul cümleciği daima yapıca olumludur.
Unless authorities specifically request data with proper documentation, no one but you will have access to your network folders or email transcripts.
OTHER CONDITIONALS
Provided / Providing (that) / On condition that
As Long As / So Long As / Only If
1- “If” anlamına vurgu katarlar.
2- Çevirileri “ancak …….sa” olarak yapılır.
3- “Only if” cümle başında olursa, ana cümle devrik olur.

OTHER CONDITIONALS
Whether (...) or not / Even if
1- Koşul Cümlesi ana cümleyi etkilemez. Sonuç değişmez.
2- “-se bile” ya da “-sa da, -masa da” şeklinde çevrilirler.
3- “or not” birleşik veya ayrı yazılabilir.
I’m still going to help Gülben even if you fire me.
I’m still going to help Gülben whether or not you fire me.
I’m still going to help Gülben whether you fire me or not.

Suppose / Supposing ( that ) / Assuming (that)
Imagine / Imagining (that) / What if
1- Varsayım ifade ederken kullanılırlar.
2- Bu sebeple genelde soru cümleleriyle kullanılırlar.
3- “Varsayalım ki/Diyelim ki” veya “Ya….olursa” şeklinde çevrilirler.

In case of + Noun
1- Tedbir amaçlı cümlelerde kullanılır.
2- “-sa diye / – ması durumunda” şeklinde çevrilirler.
3- “If” ile anlam bakımından birbirlerine uzak yapılardır.
4- “Type” yapılarından farklı olarak zaman uyumu gerektirirler.
I will buy a GPS tracker in case I need it while driving.
(Tedbir amaçlı olarak alacağım.)
I will buy a GPS tracker if I need it while driving.
(İhtiyacım olursa alacağım.)

With / Without + Noun (Ving)
“ile / olmadan” anlamında kullanılan bu yapılar koşul anlamı verebilirler.
They couldn’t have been such successful students without their ambition.

Kendisinden sonra isim (Ving) alan bu yapılar “olmasa / olmasaydı” anlamında kullanılırlar.

“Yoksa / aksi takdirde” anlamında kullanılan bu yapıların kendisinden sonra gelen cümleciklerde anlama göre yapılar değişiklik gösterir. Önceki cümleler daima gerçek zamanı ile yapılırlar.
