Object Pronouns
Kullanılan Durumlar
1 – Cümlede nesne görevi görürler ve etken cümlede eylemden etkilenirler.
Patients were waiting for the doctor and they were angry with him.
2- Object Pronoun olan bir cümlede Karşılaştırma (Comparative) varsa Object Pronoun ardından fiil kullanılmamalıdır. Eğer kullanılırsa Object Pronoun yerine Subject Pronoun kullanılır.
I feel like everyone is more successful than me.
I feel like everyone is more successful than I am.
3 – Object Pronounlar cevap veya karşılık cümlelerinde fiil olmadan kullanılabilirler. Fiil varsa Subject Pronoun kullanılmalıdır.
A: Who was responsible for all the translations?
B: Them, not us / B: They were.
4 – Konum olarak özne posizyonunda (fiilden önce) olsalar da “some of …”, “none of….” gibi yapılarla “Object Pronoun” kullanılır.
Some of them were superstitious and some were extremely suspicious
Most of us had been warned by the officer before the explosion.
