2- This-that-these-those varlıkların yerine olduğu kadar kişilerin yerine de kullanılabilirler.
This is my sister, and these are her friends.
Those are my colleagues who started working here before I did.
3 – Demonstrative Pronoun zaman yerine de zamir olarak kullanılabilir. Zaman için kullanıldıklarında tense sorularında uzaklık/yakınlık ipucunu barındırırlar.
This is the day you will always remember as the day you almost caught Captain Jack Sparrow!
That was the day I promised I would never sing of love lyrics.
4 – Relative Clause ile kullanılan işaret zamiri (those who) genel olarak “the people” anlamında kullanılır.
The new study is very discouraging for those who try to be thinner.

5 – “Possessive Pronoun“ ların verdiği anlamı özel isimlere eklemek için “of” yapısıyla beraber tekillerde “that of” çoğullarda ise “those of” kullanılır.
His guitar playing is better than mine.
His guitar playing is better than that of Jimmy.
His guitar skills are better than those of Jimmy.
6- “This” öncesinde verilen tüm cümleye gönderme yapmak için de kullanılabilir. Bu sebeple özellikle cümle tamamlama, paragraf tamamlama veya paragrafa uymayan cümleyi atma sorularında çok dikkatli olunmalıdır.
As I read the new reports of injustice and inequality, my empathy grew stronger. However, this made me furious about everything happening in the western world.
